Trystant, a Dreadnought on the Hindemith server, was one of the first players in North America/Europe to reach the highest level of 80 on December 13, 2006. Trystant took a breather from playing to answer a few questions about his character and thoughts on Lineage II.

1. Congratulations on being one of the first players to reach level 80! Can you tell us about yourself and your character?

Well, about myself, I am 27, Swiss, living in Belgium. My girlfriend and I are self employed, which allows me great freedom to play. My first toon was a Sorcerer, Vernita, which I leveled to lvl 62. I got a Lance drop in Lair then, which made me reroll to my current toon, a Warlord. I never rerolled since.

2. How long have you been playing Lineage II?

I have been playing since open beta.

3. Not only are you level 80, but you also have multiple high level sub-classes. Which class do you enjoy playing the most?

The class I enjoy to play the most is my main.

My first subclass is a Bounty Hunter, which I made to supply my main with materials to get better equipment at minimal cost. And also, Bounty Hunters have heavy armor masteries, like Warlord, so I did not have to buy/craft new equipment for a while and could focus on getting the good stuff on my main.

Second sub is a Hawkeye, which I made for PvP purposes, to help the clan in PvP issues, and even raids since Hawkeyes are a way better damage dealer.

Third subclass is an Abyss Walker, I made this one for fun and because one of my best friend in game is an Abyss Walker and it was awesome to see him in action.

4. Was it your goal to be one of the first players to level 80?

Not really, but when the lvl 80 was close, you can't really help to start to think that you might be among the first and well, it's an additional motivation.

5. What are some of your favorite hunting areas in game?

I like Ketra's Outpost very much, the quest is great there. Monastery of Silence is my favourite, it's a beautiful place, the mobs are awesome, and it requires quite some skills. The upper floors have such a particular atmosphere, the mobs are so well designed, I really enjoy to be up there.

6. What do you enjoy the most about Lineage II?

The graphics, the quests and the ingame community. I am still amazed sometimes of the areas, how nice they look, the mobs, how diverse they are. I like the quests very much too, always done my best to kill only quest related mobs. But most of all, my friends in game, I cant imagine Lineage II without them. I'd like to thank Despair clan if I may, my family!

7. What advice would you give other players who wish to reach level 80?

Set a goal, stay true to it, and make sure you enjoy the game for other aspects than the grey bar.
